Jordan River Arts Council Presents
"Splash" An exhibit celebrating Northern Michigan's rivers, lakes, and aquatic inhabitants. The display is in conjunction with Raven Hill Discovery Center's Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit tour that highlights the importance of Northern Michigan’s water as a natural resource to be treasured, as well as water’s historical and cultural importance in this area. Artwork must have a water theme or include water or aquatic life.
JRAC members and area artists are invited to submit up to three pieces (space permitting), in any medium. The show will open Sunday August 12th with an artists reception 1-4pm and run through August 31, 2018. Items may be for sale or not, any items sold will be subject to a 30% commission. All works will be handled in a professional manner. Works are submitted at the owner’s risk and are covered by the owner’s insurance. JRAC’s insurance coverage is limited to fire, theft or vandalism for materials only. Shipping costs are the artist’s responsibility.
Work must be delivered to the Jordan River Art Center Sun. Aug. 5, 2-4pm or Mon. Aug. 6, 5-7pm. Pick up time is Friday Aug. 31 between 4 and 6pm or by appointment.
