March 8th through April 3rd, 2020 Malleable Metals II, an art exhibit featuring works in a variety of metals and executed using a variety of techniques, will open at the Jordan River Arts Council on March 8, 2020. This exhibit reprises a 2004 exhibit of the same name and honors both our neighboring foundry EJ and the original curators Jane Diller and John Stevens. The current exhibit includes sculptures, furniture and jewelry that are cast, fabricated, or forged in bronze, pewter, silver, copper and aluminum. Also included is a unique series of prints taken from photographs of a cast iron street grating. These vibrant “Golden Hour Trout” prints reveal the true and changing colors of the metal as it is exposed to the elements and taken in different lighting situations. The exhibit will run through April 3rd, open daily from 1-4, at 301 Main Street in East Jordan. Work by Ann Guildner, Scott Nelles, Douglas Gruizenga, and Christine Leader.
