Honoring our Emeritus Members
Over the years, Jordan River Arts Council (JRAC) has been fortunate to count dedicated, talented, and generous community members among its membership, volunteers, and board of directors. Whether artists themselves or merely altruistic at heart, many individuals have helped make JRAC the nonprofit it is today—a thriving organization serving the people of its region. Thanks to community involvement, this arts council continues on a positive trajectory, and with great pride, we honor and acknowledge four current emeritus board members.
Artist Awards - Fish & Fowl Exhibit
A highlight of the opening reception for Fish & Fowl was an announcement of the several artist awards sponsored by area businesses. Be sure to stop by the gallery before the end of July to view all the great work and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Community Collaborations
Working with community partners to bring art into living is an important (and fun!) aspect of the JRAC mission. Here are some collaborations we’ve been involved in over the past few months.
New Workspace Added to JRAC Lower Level
The new kitchenette is an attractive and functional space. Many thanks to JRAC board member Dawn Swaim for her vision and leadership and contractor Richard Kerr whose expertise made the transformation possible. We also have the late Don Smith to thank for making this metamorphosis possible.
Where Are They Now? Past Scholarship Recipients
Recently, JRAC caught up with two previous student scholarship recipients—Annaliese Voci and Jay Fazio—to see where their art has taken them.
2024 Scholarship Show
The annual Scholarship Show is an opportunity to showcase the talents of area students who are also hoping to be selected for a scholarship to support future art studies.
